Following Surgery

Depending on your choice of procedures, you will be using eye drops to protect your eyes from infection and allow your eye to heal. You will also use artificial tears for approximately 6-8 weeks. No eye makeup for one week and no swimming, sauna or hot tub for 1 month following surgery. The majority of your daily activities can be resumed after your 1-day follow-up visit. Most patients will drive themselves to their 1-day postop appointment and return to work within 2 -3 days after surgery, though many return the very next day!
