Laser Vision Correction / Refractive Surgery / LASIK

When we talk about Laser Vision Correction surgery, we are referring to SMILE®, LASIK and PRK. Dr. Christopher Shelby and Dr. Wyche Coleman were the first surgeons in the state of Louisiana to offer SMILE® with the Zeiss VisuMax Femtosecond Laser. LASIK is the most common type of Refractive Surgery that has been performed in the United States since its approval by the FDA in 1996. We have been proud to provide LASIK and PRK at the Willis Knighton Refractive Surgery Center (formerly Steen-Hall Eye Institute) since 1996 to our patients in the Ark-La-Tex.
