Refractive Lens Exchange or Clear Lens Exchange

Refractive Lens Exchange, or lens replacement surgery, may be a better option for some patients who are not good candidates for SMILE, LASIK, or PRK. RLE replaces your eye’s clear lens with an artificial intraocular lens. This procedure is nearly identical to cataract surgery and with modern advances including ORA wavefront guidance and LenSx laser precision, accuracy is very similar to LASIK. RLE can correct very high degrees of nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. Many lens options available and chosen based on measurements and patient needs.
